About Love Life
Love Life is a NGO registered in Sweden, founded by the former volunteer Jenni Lindberg. The organisation supports needy children in Ghana, by investing in self-sustainable projects. Love Life doesn't recruit members, but finance the projects by monthly donors. At the time being, february 2017, Love Life has approximately 200 monthly donors from Sweden, Norway, Holland and Belgium. 100% of the donations is being used for the purpose - to improve the lives of needy children in Ghana.

A wish.
That was what made me travel to Ghana on that particular day in June 2012. A wish to make a difference and experience that I can make a change in my own and in other peoples lives. I have always had a dream to travel to Africa to find out if I can contribute in any way to those who needs it most. When I decided to go there as a volunteer I had no idea that the biggest change would be inside me, and that my journey would be far longer than the three weeks I spent at the orphanage Mums Care Children Home in Ghana . At the orphanage I got to meet 26 children who lived under poor conditions without clean water, electricity or education. Within the 24 days I spent with them I got to know these wonderful children, and I learned to love them. When I got back home t Sweden I therefor started the NGO Love Life, to continue to support them. Today more than 60 children stays in the home, and they all go to school at Love Life Academy that we built next to the home. They have electricity, clean water, proper toilet facilities and a unit for baby care. In front of the home is a football pit and a play ground, and there are four housemothers and two social workers to cater for the children's everyday needs. To provide an income for the home we have started our very own production of pure water and a bakery. Love life has become my life project, and the journey has just started... I often say that "we" have achieved big changes, that "we" have invested in new projects etc. It might communicate that Love Life is a huge organisation with plenty of people that runs it. But the fact is - that I run the organisation alone. Still I use "we". Because - even if I am the one who makes all the decisions, plans all the projects, sorts out the finances and updates the website and social media - I would never have been able to achieve all the huge improvements alone. Want to volunteer?We accept volunteers at the orphanage and you don't need any specific education to volunteer. If you have an education in health care it is also possible to get a placement at the local hospital in Senya Beraku.
As a volunteer you will help with the everyday work at the orphanage, such as bathing, clothing, brushing teeth etc. You will help with cooking and serving the food, and if you want to also assist the students in class. If you have an interest in sports it is also possible to volunteer at Spirrow Sport Club, and help in training, coaching and motivating the players. We will help you to plan your volunteering according to your education, experiences and wishes. The cost will depend on the length of your stay, which is individual. We will help you with all the administration like visa application, booking of flights and invitation letter.
